The EtatFR-StaatFR+ WiFi network is open to visitors, employees and students of the canton of Fribourg and its institutions who wish to access the internet via their personal computers, smartphones or tablets.
The 'EtatFR-StaatFR' network (without the +) offers the same service but with a lower level of security. It will remain available until further notice and can be used by older-generation devices.
Access is free but you first need to complete the user authentication process.

Support options vary depending on your user profile:
- Employees can contact the Service-Client for any assistance.
- Student have to contact their school's secretariat.
- There is no support for visitors.

Two ways to register:
- With your State of Fribourg Windows account (if you have one)
- With your phone number (you will receive a code by SMS)
Under certain conditions, devices already registered on EtatFR-StaatFR will also be recognized on EtatFR-StaatFR+.

Cause of the problem
Your device automatically changes its Wi-Fi identity to protect your privacy. This is a feature called "MAC address randomization."
Solution
- Consult your device manual to disable this function for the Wi-Fi network EtatFR-StaatFR(+).
